THE CHINESE AMERICAN COMMUNITY CENTER PRESENTS AMAZING TAIWAN: AN EVENING OF DANCE WITH THE NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY OF SPORT
"Amazing Taiwan" is the first Taiwanese performance coming to the Delaware area in 14 years. This performance emphasizes a new, professional dance production that creatively blends Chinese and Western dance, music, and theatrical artistry into a series of energetic, expressive, and storytelling vignettes. The original choreography features various styles and elements of contemporary dance, classical dance, traditional folk dance, and martial arts. “Amazing Taiwan” showcases Taiwan’s contemporary customs, everyday life, ethnic cultures, and the culture of art formation, and in doing so, reimagines traditional cultural diversity with a fresh perspective. "Amazing Taiwan's" creative team, the NTUS Dance Company (est. 1996) hails from the Taichung City-based National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS), which is one of Taiwan's leading dance arts educational institutions. In addition to theater venues, the NTUS Dance Company has also been a featured artist at various international dance, performing arts, and cultural festivals throughout North America and Asia. The Delaware engagement of “Amazing Taiwan” is part of the NTUS Dance Company's 2025 U.S. and Canada Goodwill Tour. The run time of this performance is 82 minutes.
