FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Ticket sales cover only 45 % of the costs of operating The Grand and its three performance venues, because we have lower ticket prices than for-profit theaters – as a public service to keep the arts affordable for the most people. Gifts from generous donors and sponsors support exceptional local entertainment, arts education, diverse community programming, and historical preservation of two of the great architectural gems of the United States: Copeland Hall and The Playhouse on Rodney Square (formerly DuPont Theatre). When you support The Grand, you also become a part of the vibrant renaissance of Wilmington.

In appreciation for your generous support, The Grand offers exciting benefits to our donors. The fair market value of the benefits you receive will vary according to your level of giving. Download a PDF containing more information on tangible value of benefits offered at various giving levels. After making your gift, you will receive a gift acknowledgement letter that indicates the value of your benefits and the amount that may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

When you waive your benefits, your entire gift is directed to making a difference at The Grand. Indicate with your gift that you do not wish to receive benefits, making your gift fully tax-deductible. You can also contact the Development Office at 302-658-7897 to request no benefits.
