In line with the new CDC guidance released Friday, February 25, 2022, The Grand has announced it will suspend all COVID-19 mitigation efforts effective immediately. Patrons will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test to enter one of The Grand’s three theaters. Though masking is still recommended by the CDC in “congregate areas” (such as concert halls and theaters), patrons will no longer be required to wear a mask when attending a performance at Copeland Hall, the baby grand, or The Playhouse on Rodney Square.

The suspension of these policies goes into effect immediately (March 2, 2022). The Grand reserves the right to adjust this suspension should conditions warrant in line with evolving CDC recommendations. Should a change occur, patrons will receive an email and text message prior to their scheduled performance. Resident companies, rentals, and other events at one of The Grand’s three theaters may still opt to enforce their own mitigation efforts despite the relaxation of our policies.

Vaccine And Test Policy

Beginning March 2, 2022, The Grand and The Playhouse on Rodney Square will no longer require that our visitors and audience members provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test to attend all indoor public performances and events in all venues.

Indoor Mask Policy

Though masking is still recommended by the CDC in “congregate areas” (such as concert halls and theaters), patrons will no longer be required to wear a mask when attending a performance at Copeland Hall, the baby grand, or The Playhouse on Rodney Square. Although we have removed the requirement, patrons are strongly encouraged to continue to wear masks for their own comfort and peace of mind.
