Musikarmageddon is Wilmington’s premier band competition for original music. For the past decade, regional bands have competed in summer preliminaries at live music venues, presenting their best original music to be scored by local judges and fans to see which four move on to the finale, live @ the baby grand.
Congratulations to The Susquehanna Floods on their 2016 Musikarmageddon X victory!
Congratulations to our previous winners:
Congratulations to Musikarmageddon Solo Champion: Kaloni Baylor (pictured)
16 singer-songwriters competed in head-to-head battles, each round knocking out half of the contestants until they were down to two: Kaloni Baylor vs. Joe Campbell. Each of the finalists performed 4 original songs throughout the evening. A panel of local music experts awarded Kaloni the win and a prize package valued at over $600 – including a feature article in Out & About Magazine, a free recording session from Ray Gagliardino/Studio 825, an appearance on WSTW’s Hometown Heroes, and gift certificates from coveted Delaware locals!
Kudos to the Audience Choice winner: Howard “Big Izzy” Isenberg!
Immediately following the first round of play, the audience placed their votes for favorite artist and Big Izzy took that crown, along with a valuable prize package including cash, entertainment, and dining.
The Grand and Out & About would like to thank all of the singer-songwriters who participated and our fabulous judges for sharing their time and critiques. We hope to see everyone out to support local music again for Musikarmageddon Solo 2018!
