The hot jazz/western swing trio serenade audiences with their three-part harmony
Their story began with an answer to an ad in New York City’s Village Voice. Now more than a decade later, the Hot Club of Cowtown has grown to be a globe-trotting Western Swing powerhouse. Their sound is inspired by their namsakes: “Hot Club” from the hot jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli’s Hot Club of France, and “Cowtown” from the Western swing influence of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. The band is known for “…Infusing classic pop and jazz tunes with plenty of string-band verve.” - Washington Post
