Legendary country musician Willie Nelson, the Red Headed Stranger, will make his Grand debut on Sunday, June 17 at 7:00 PM in Copeland Hall. The concert is presented in cooperation with SLP Concerts and WDSD Radio.
Nelson, who turned 79 on April 30, has been a mainstay of country music and American culture for decades, and his endless songbook includes such classics as “On The Road Again,” “Always on My Mind,” “Crazy,” “Whiskey River,” and “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain.”
Nelson – who has been lauded with awards from multiple Grammys to the Kennedy Center Honors – will release his latest album, Heroes, May 15. In addition to his storied music career, Willie Nelson is an accomplished film and TV actor, author, poet, and activist.
