With the release of their 1995 smash single “Name,” the Goo Goo Dolls catapulted into the spotlight with a deft blend of alternative rock riffs, grunge aesthetic, and pop dynamics. Since then, the trio has enjoyed worldwide success and conquered the charts with over ten top-10 singles, including such hits as “Slide,” “Black Balloon,” “Broadway,” “Here is Gone,” a cover of Supertramp’s “Give a Little Bit,” and “Iris,” which spent a phenomenal 18 weeks in the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.

Through it all, the Goo Goo Dolls have lost none of their everyman appeal, a quality that has made their music so accessible. “So many people are struggling to keep it together through tough economic conditions and two wars that seem to have no end in sight,” says lead singer John Rzeznik. “The ones who bear the brunt of these burdens are everyday people.
