Hometown rock hero George Thorogood returns to The Grand, bringing his signature raucous, slide guitar-stoked blues rock. Fueled by hits such as the legendary “Bad to the Bone,” “You Talk Too Much,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer,” “Move It On Over,” and “Get a Haircut,” Thorogood and the Destroyers have carved out a four-decade career from energetic, no-holds-barred rock. “All manner of high-energy antics…a rollicking good time,” hails The Los Angeles Times. A sold out show at The Grand in 2009.
“In any field, especially the arts, there are always two things—‘genius’ and ‘very clever,’” Thorogood says. “There’s no in-between. You’re either a genius or very clever. I’m going to throw out two names at you. John Lennon--genius, right? And Mick Jagger? Very clever. See what I’m saying? I’ll give you another example. Einstein--genius. And George Thorogood--very clever.”
