Talented singer-songwriter Andrew Bird, a classically-trained violinist, burst onto the scene in 2005 with breakthrough album Andrew Bird & the Mysterious Production of Eggs. Since then, the folk rocker has electrified audiences at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, SXSW, and the Montreal Jazz Festival, and has performed on the BBC, KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic," and NPR's "World Cafe" and “All Things Considered.” The multi-instrumentalist is perhaps best known for his unique tenor voice – Spin magazine claims it “has a way of softening tragedies and soothing beasts” – virtuoso-like violin skills, and singular lyrics.
