The stars of American roots come together on-stage to pay tribute to the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe!  The show features the Travelin’ McCourys, a band with lifelong credentials in playing traditional and progressive bluegrass music, and the sons of pioneering bluegrass performer Del McCoury. Also featured are legendary roots singer-songwriter Peter Rowan – a Grammy-award winner, and original member of Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys – and Tony Rice, that maverick of the flat-picked acoustic guitar who has propelled guitar techniques into new flights of rhythmic, harmonic, and textural virtuosity for over forty years.
