The Grand, SLP Concerts and XPN Welcomes

Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile is one of alternative folk’s most promising young stars, hailed by peers, critics, and audiences alike for her poignant performances. Called an “amazing voice [and] a great songwriter” by Elton John and “perfect in every way” by Sheryl Crow, Carlile is known for her distinctive vocal style and beautifully dark, genre-defying songwriting. A haunting performer and accomplished touring artist, Brandi Carlile is a “distinctive female talent,” according to Billboard.

Brandi Carlile earned her breakthrough in 2007 in large part to her sophomore album The Story, which had many of its tracks featured in films, commercials and TV shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy.” The album features a collaboration with the Indigo Girls, frequent visitors to The Grand who are scheduled to perform during the 2010-11 season.
