2013 Summer Children's Theater
The Grand’s Summer Children’s Theater presents a variety of fun and engaging performances by both local and national artists. Each show is a unique adventure offering something for everyone, from astonishing science to classic fairy tales – and some with a bit of a twist! We also offer the chance for local students to audition and perform with Missoula Children’s Theater.
Summer Children’s Theater is designed to introduce children to the excitement of live performance. Most shows are appropriate for children ages 3 and up, and all of them are perfect for schools, summer camps, daycares, and families.
Running time for all shows is approximately one hour. Tickets are only $5 (suggested donation), and seats may be reserved by making your donation in advance. If you prefer to bring your donation on the day of the show, you will be given the best seats available at the time of your arrival. This reservation policy ensures the fairest possible seating assignments.
PLEASE NOTE: Donations must be received at least 48 hours in advance to reserve seats. After this time, please plan to arrive early on the day of the show for walk-up seating. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the show.

Join Snow White on her adventures as she flees the Evil Queen into a forest inhabited by dwarves, talking foxes and wizards. Enjoy an original re-telling of this classic tale with a timely message about self-image, plus great songs, a talking mirror, enchanted Princesses, and lively fun.

Rudyard Kipling’s wonderful story about Mowgli, a little boy growing up in the jungles of India and being raised by a wolf, a bear, and a bird and his struggles against Shere Kahn, the tiger. Best of all, children in the audience help Ritzy the Wolf and his friends tell the story.

Join our wooden-head as he dances with Geppetto’s charming toys, travels the road to Pleasure Isle, and escapes the clutches of the evil puppet master, Stromboli. As Geppetto and the friendly Urchins spin their magical tale, we learn with Pinocchio that there are no shortcuts on the road to becoming a real, live boy.

Join this Doo Wop adventure with a sock-hopping ‘50s score and an assortment of fairy-tale characters: The Fairy Godmother, a trio of Princes, the Evil Queen, Little Red’s sisters – Big Green and Medium Purple – and of course, the Big Bad Wolf. It’s happily-ever-after laughter for audiences of all ages!
