Summer Children's Theater
The Grand’s Summer Children’s Theater presents a variety of fun and engaging performances by both local and national artists. Each show is a unique adventure offering something for everyone, with juggling, dancing, classic fairy tales, singing dinosaurs, and even a chance for local children to star in the show!
Summer Children’s Theater is designed to introduce children to the excitement of live performance. The shows are appropriate for children aged 3 and up, and are perfect for schools, summer camps, daycare centers, and families.
Running time for all shows is approximately one hour. Tickets are only $5! (Suggested donation) Seats may be reserved by making your donation in advance. If you prefer to bring your donation on the day of the show, you will be given the best seats available at the time of your arrival. This reservation policy ensures the fairest possible seating assignments.
NOTE: Donations must be received at least 48 hours in advance to reserve seats. After this time, please plan to arrive early on the day of the show for walk-up seating. Doors open 45 minutes before the start of the show.

The Great Dinosaur Mystery

This musical is set in the basement of the Natural History Museum. Doc is about to give the audience a behind-the-scenes tour of a new dinosaur exhibit, when she finds a mysterious box. “It was supposed to be filled with fossils, but it was empty!” Enter Detective Joe Kafootsie. He’s found a giant shoe and thinks it might belong to a dinosaur! Suddenly dinosaurs begin appearing with messages from a mysterious character named Tootsie. Who is Tootsie? What do the messages mean? What’s going on? Each dinosaur’s song reveals another clue in The Great Dinosaur Mystery.

A pumpkin coach, Prince Charming, a glass slipper and a dream come true are woven together by the magic of a Fairy Godmother in this enchanting musical. When Cinderella’s stepsisters try to keep Cinderella from attending the ball, the Fairy Godmother enlists the help of the Mice and the Pumpkins and is able to transform Cinderella just in time for the big event. Also featured in the production are Cleo the Cat, Fido the Dog, the Lords and Ladies, the Town Criers, the King and the Beggars. Experience the unique twist the Missoula Children’s Theatre puts on this classic story.
