Development Manager


 

Full-time – Salary commensurate with experience
 

The Development Manager will handle all tasks related to The Grand’s major fundraising events including, but not limited to The Grand Gala, spring fundraisers, and cultivation events for small businesses. In addition to planning events, the Development Manager will work closely with the Development team to cultivate new small business partners and create opportunities for The Grand and The Playhouse to be more visible in the business community. Key tasks involve:

  • Managing event budgets

  • Collaborating with Marketing on all promotional materials and the Gala Program Book

  • Organizing event committee members and tasks

  • Soliciting Gala page and ticket purchases, sponsorships, and silent auction donations

  • Maintaining a comprehensive record of all event details and needs including timelines

  • Attending small business networking events

  • Coordinating with partner organizations

  • Arranging cultivation event opportunities with small businesses at shows and The Gala

  • Conceptualizing, planning, and implementing other cultivation and/or recognition events for donors and prospects

The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising for non-profits, event management skills, and a passion for the arts – especially music and live performance. Attention to detail, demonstrated ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment, and a pro-active work ethic are essential. Applicable degree and experience in the field are preferred.
